If you are already using version 13 of the software, this article will walk you through updating to the latest available build. You can update directly through the software or by downloading the update from the DaySmart website.

πŸ–₯️ Check for Update Through the Software

Updating through the software is simple and hassle-free. With just a few clicks, you can ensure that your system stays up to date with the latest features and improvements.

  1. Within your software, go to Help.
    ​

  2. Select Check for Update.
    ​

  3. Select Yes to have the program check for the new update for DaySmart.

  4. Select Auto Update for the program to begin downloading the update.
    ​

  5. You will receive a message stating that it is recommended to close the program on any other computers that are also running the software.

    1. Press OK once you have closed the program on any other computers.
      ​

  6. The update will then begin downloading and the program will close.

  7. Once the installer has opened, press Next to begin.

  8. Select I accept the terms in the license agreement and press Next.

  9. Select Next again.
    ​

  10. Press Install for the program to begin updating.
    ​

  11. The software will then take a moment to update the program. Once done, select Finish to open the program.

  12. The software will then make a backup of your database and update the database itself. Do not turn off the computer or close the program at this point.

  13. Once the update to the database has completed, your program will be fully up to date. If you have the software installed on multiple computers, simply open the program on the other computers and the update will begin automatically.

If the previous method for updating fails on either your main computer or secondary client computers, try downloading the update directly from the DaySmart website.

  1. Make sure that the software is closed on the computer.

  2. Download and install your version of the software from our website based on your product version:
    ​

  3. Run the file that is downloaded to begin your update. This can vary depending on the web browser you are using:
    ​

    • Google Chrome: In the top right corner, click on the blue arrow pointing down. Click on the downloaded file to run the install wizard.

    • Firefox: In the top right corner, click on the blue arrow pointing down. Click on the downloaded file to run the install wizard.

  4. Once the installer has opened, press Next to begin.
